Jordanian police have arrested an activist dressed as a vegetarian lettuce during a protest in downtown Baghdad, reported local media. Amina Farik, PETA member, decided to wear a suit made with lettuce leaves, covered also with Muslim headscarves, to call attention to the consumption of meat. Carrying a sign in favor of life accompanied by other vegetarian and PETA activists, Farik attracted a large number of people and created traffic congestion on a busy street in the neighborhood of Jabal.

Possibly because the powerful meat market avoids revealing that consuming too much sausage, fish and meat is a risk factor for many diseases. LONDON .- The ex-Beatle Paul McCartney and his daughters Mary and Stella McCartney have been entrusted with a special supplement the vegetarian diet today published Sunday in The Observer. "I've done many things in my life, but it is the first time I have asked myself and my family run a magazine supplement," explains the musician in the presentation. And explains the fact that he accepted the request: "I like the food and I am a vegetarian for many years, so I find it very attractive idea to convince people of the delights of that lifestyle."
A pilgrimage to spread the vegetarian philosophy

Javier Mancho Martínez (Pamplona, June 4, 1968) launched yesterday a very special pilgrimage to Santiago. Roncesvalles left with his horse, Gringo, with the intention of spreading the philosophy behind his life and he played with great conviction, vegetarianism. "Where will explain the principles of Asvegana, I created the foundation and anyone can join," he noted.
