Panama City .- The National Environmental Authority (ANAM) criminal complaint presented a "trade in exotic animals" before the Public Prosecutor against the Circo Hermanos Fuentes Gasca. The action is based on the circus introduced to the country six tigers, African elephants about 30 years, three camels and llamas, without permission of the Anam. Even the agency rejected his application for entry of animals, alleging breach of the Convention on International Trade in Wild Fauna and Flora. However, the circus animals had entered before submitting the application on 3 January, said Harley Mitchell, director of the Anam legal advice.
A lion named Belisarius, had to be euthanized at the zoo in Santacruz de Bogotá.
