The discussion agaist bullfigthing turns to Catalan Parliament this afternoon when he produced the last four hearings of experts for and against the party, prior to votiación on a date set yet on whether to ban or not bullfighting in Catalonia.

At 16.00 start talking Professor Juan Carlos Illera, director of Animal Physiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. The second hearing will be the contractor and owner of the Plaza de Toros La Monumental de Barcelona, Pedro Balañá.
Other speakers include Luis Francisco Esplá bullfighters and Serafin Marin, the ERC councilor in the municipality of Barcelona and biologist, Jordi Portabella, former MEP and group European Greens, Monica Frassoni.

 


If the afternoon session maintains the levels of the previous two, the debate promises. In those that took place earlier this month, supporters of the party criticized the "living animals" of Catalan politicians (as said attorney Joseph Thomas) and Joselito abolitionists invited to 'respect' and the Feast discuss "without fundamentalism.

 


The witnesses who stood for the bull ban amid parlameton showed flags, rapiers to support their arguments and compared the bulls' female circumcision or the mistreatment of women.

During the second day, followed by the detailed description of the suffering of bulls during slaughter, by the veterinarian José Enrique Zaldívar and comparisons. Pablo de Lora, a philosophy professor, warned that freedom is perfectly 'restricted' in cases such as cockfighting, painting graffiti on the aqueduct of Segovia or the runs.


Supporters of bullfighting, among whom was a mayor of the Communist Party, pointed to the "great loss to humanity" that would involve the abolition, as indicated by the Sorbonne professor Francisc Wolf.
