Executive locked outside the Chapultepec Zoo in Mexico City, invite people not to go to these places. During the summer the zoo receive more visits, so AnimaNaturalis Mexico activists staged a protest outside the zoo, looking to inform society about what is the situation faced by animals in these places. Activists handed out leaflets and informed the public that zoos are places where wild animals were captured in their natural habitat, are on display for human entertainment and the conditions under which animals are kept.

Spaces badly planned, socially isolated, stressed and show aberrant behavior (stereotypies or zoocosis).

So watch these captive animals is not an educational activity or instructive to study their behavior as they do not remain in their natural environment and living conditions.



Specifically in this zoo is working on the conservation of only seven of the 250 species that exhibit. The reproduction of endangered species are not common, and the unknown fate of the "surplus."
