The strategy of raising the Circus Medellín, is to show the public other ways to entertain through fictitious animals. Chimpanzees, dolphins, lions and white doves become fantastically scarves, ceased to be fashionable in some fun shows, as in the Circus Medellín, which is set in a contemporary rendering of care without sacrificing wildlife art make people laugh and amaze the public. The initiative to entertain alternatives to the animals they bring on stage comes from Carlos Alvarez, director of the Foundation Circus Medellín.

The Foundation, which has spent 20 years working for art and 6 including youth from his shows to form an awareness of wildlife protection.


"Work is the attractive animals and that makes our human cast prepare better, and incidentally we are taking a message that wild animals should be in their environment and pets should not be in circuses," suggests Alvarez who also is part of the show with his character mime clown.



Policies that drive the Municipal Council and the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley about restricting circuses with animals in Medellin, as there is one of the hotbeds of illegal wildlife trafficking and abuse, are being consolidated with the Foundation Circus Circus Medellín and the Fourth Brigade who are among the few that implement the shows with raising awareness in the city.



Caliche knickknack, name of the show is being presented these days in the Aeroparque Juan Pablo II, made a presentation in which mime, magic and gymnastics are complemented by the show, instead of real animals, use representations dummy horses and cows.
