The importance of water in Bogota MUSEUM MONDAY

PLANETARIOThe Mayor of Bogota, seeking to make the city a city aware of the importance of natural ingredients, prepare, through the District Institute of Cultural Heritage, a body attached to the Ministry of Culture, Recreation and Sport, two conferences free of charge focused on water: 21 June, the talks 'sacred water', and the 28th of that month, the conversatorio 'Where does the water that we take in Bogota?'.



The conferences, which are part of the program Monday at the museum and are made under the District Award for Water Culture, will take place in the room Oriol Rangel, Cultural Center Planetarium (race 6a. And 26th Street ), at 6 Pm On the one hand, chat June 21, the speaker, Clara Ines Angel, will tell how the Indians were related to sacred form with the precious liquid on the other, chat June 28, will inquire about the origin of Bogota population water used daily issue addressed by the Company of Bogotá Aqueduct.


Bogotá is a city with abundant water, the existence of the precious liquid is not limited to dams that from areas surrounding the city cater to it of vital element, but in the very geography uptown, at different points, different bodies of water: batteries, streams, canals, lakes and wetlands. In fact, in the collective memory of the population of Bogotá, when referring to the natural heritage of the Capital, it is inevitable that the allusive turn to these references.


Not in vain did the ancestors who occupied the Sabana de Bogotá, the Muisca, had a sacred bond with water, as is a historical fact, evident in images, in parks and squares of our city there are 37 fountains and water basins, now disappeared.

Description: The presenter will show the relationship established with the indigenous water as sacred.

Where does the water that we take in Bogota?
Speaker: Bogotá Aqueduct Company.
Description: An explanation of how teaching Where does the water we use daily Bogota to our survival.
Time: 6 pm to 8 p.m.
