More than 150 activists from several states of Mexico and flags will lie naked in the vicinity of Fine Arts, representing the lives of bulls that die in each "big season" from Plaza Mexico.

Half-naked, bloodied flags and more than 150 activists held a rally in protest against the legalization of bullfighting and its financing from public funds. The activists will bow in the vicinity of Fine Arts by appealing to the government, media and society.

Mexico is one of the eight countries that still suffer the legalization of bullfighting: State and municipal authorities diverted funds from the treasury to promote the opening of museums bullfighting and "schools" where they teach children in the torture and killing of animals.

In contrast, other countries such as England and Belgium have banned the breeding of fighting bulls and any practice taurine. In Spain there are more than 80 provinces declared "anti-bullfighting", and is currently developing a popular legislative initiative that could help end bullfighting throughout Catalonia region.

France, Portugal, Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador also have municipalities declared "anti-bullfighting" and in Peru there has been legislative proposals to abolish bullfighting in entire regions.In Mexico, there could be a breakthrough, following the initiative by decree last December The deputy Cristian Vargas, to ban bullfighting in this demarcation. Organizations for the defense of animal rights solicit public consultation takes place, stating that the rejection of bullfighting produces most of the population.
