Devoted fan of bullfighting, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, develops alongside his fellow Ansúrez Cultural Group of Valladolid, where he is president, documentaries about the world of bullfighting. His work 'Prayer', which pays tribute to dead last in junior bullfighters and Spanish arenas
- 'Prayer' is not his only work on the world of bullfighting, what led them to develop this type of work?
"In these times when the party is so threatened, there are so many anti-bullfighting groups and there seems to be a black hand on the party, as fans must do whatever it takes to defend it. And as we are unable to get to a bull, we have concluded that it is a way to show our fans with something we can and we do. It is a way to express our passion.
- Is it necessary to defend the party?
"Sure. And more in these times you are seeing so many negative things. We have gone to great lengths unthinkable a few years ago as having to endure a day going to the bulls to a group of people who scolds you, and you can call that even a murderer. It is unheard of.
