Advocates for animal rights in Russia are more than outraged at the initiative of some businessmen advertising in the Azov Sea coast, a region neighboring the Black Sea area: in order to attract customers to entertainment offering , put a donkey to paragliding over the sea. As discussed, the animal was a regular employee of the beach under a hot sun taking children and posing for photos with tourists, accompanied by a camel and a horse. In the video 'amateur' is seen as the donkey is tied to a parachute harness and braying takes off completely terrified.

The only quadruped was lucky to sort of see the beach in front of bird. He was elected to be small and light. The flight lasted about half an hour. But the real test for the poor animal was landing, since normally the parachutist must descend into the water. But the donkey fell into the sea from a height of several meters and then was dragged ashore tied to a boat.



Apparently, the organizers of this crazy idea that an animal thought to a height of 15 meters on a beach full of tourists would be better than any billboard to attract attention. However, the reaction of the witnesses turned out to be very different from what they expected. Prigarin Yuri, one of the tourists who witnessed the incident on the beach, said: "What fun much? Is inhumane." Even the few who at first seemed fun this experiment, were distressed at last. Another witness, Sergey Borodin, said: "I was in the beach when I saw a parachute up. Then I saw four legs and realized it was a donkey. At first I thought it was funny, but, to tell the truth, poor beast!".



Rather than attract customers, this barbaric 'aroused the interest' of local authorities, the entrepreneurs were summoned by police for questioning. The acting head of the local police department says: "All the public, children among them, saw that the donkey was opposed. It is a case of animal abuse. We recorded this and now we are conducting an investigation in accordance with the relevant provisions Criminal Code. "


Meanwhile, the Russian center for the defense of animal rights VITA sued the Attorney General of the country. Under the current legislation of the State, the organizers of this cruel event could be sentenced to two years in prison for animal abuse.


But, unfortunately, only in theory ... Shortly after the incident, when the video was broadcast on the Internet and raised a real wave of indignation comments, the donkey mysteriously disappeared ... along with its owner. The local police do everything they can to find it: without the presence of the animal, it is impossible to open a criminal case. But even if it can locate the donkey, witnesses still have to identify it, which in practice is highly unlikely, since to an outsider a little-known animal is difficult to recognize.


The only thing we know for now the fate of the poor donkey is to survive the flight: "I saw the donkey when we went to the beach with my daughter. He was tied to a tree and brayed very strong, the surrounding grass dried up becoming straw. The state of the donkey was horrible, he looked very skinny, "says one of the local residents and after the accident.


The search lasted several days. Meanwhile, the 'co-workers' of the donkey were left without any care or supervision. The owner took him only the victim of his experiments, the camel and the horse were completely abandoned and try to survive near the beach.


The VITA center chief, Constantin Sabinin, commenting on the situation said: "Cases like this show the level of development of society", as the public reaction and government agencies are the only two factors that are able to reduce this activities. And if the Russian legislation concerning the rights of animals is still not developed until a proper level, people do that can remedy the problem personally. The main thing is not to participate in any type of entertainment involving animals mistreated, for example, posing next to butchers or prey sedated in order to sublimate their natural aggression.
